Kuleto's – Authentic San Francisco

“Kuleto's is an institution and a great restaurant that consistently delivers. I've eaten here numerous times since the late 80s and have had meals that still live in my top 10 restaurant memories.”

In Season at Kuleto’s

Winter

Kuleto’s menu changes seasonally to reflect the natural local resources of the Bay area. We are blessed to have the many local farmers like River Dog, Iacoppi, Marchini, to name just a few that provide us with truly wonderful produce to use on our menu.

It is definately citrus season. Our favorites include Meyer lemons, Cara Cara and Blood oranges, Star ruby grapefruit and Satsuma mandarins.

This week an outstanding selection of root vegetables awaits us.  Crosnes, celery root, parsley root, sunchokes, red and yellow baby carrots, gold and scarlet turnips, black and watermelon radishes stand out as some of your best choices.  Root vegetables are usually relegated to the status of necessary, but boring.  These root vegetables are anything but.  Chickories are another vegetable that does best in the cold winter months.  Puntarella, pan di zucchero, castelfranco, tardivo, baby dandelion, treviso, frisee, escarole and organic mixed chickories are at their best now and should be considered for the seasonal menu.
